The Purchase Area Development District (PADD) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Assistant Director of Aging. This position is primarily responsible for providing assistance to and supporting the functions of the Director of the Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living and plans, coordinates, performs quality assurance and monitors program services provided by the PADD.
Program Services Responsibility include Case Managed Programs: Homecare, Participant Directed Services and Veteran Directed Home and Community Based Services.
Skills required include excellent verbal and written communication, ability to work well with diverse populations, initiative and self-direction, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, experience in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of senior and/or disability services.

The Purchase Area Development District is seeking an individual to work with Medicaid eligible persons in the state Participant Directed Services (PDS) program. The Service Advisor (Case Manager) is responsible for on-going case management functions for residents in the eight county Purchase District.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a health or human services field and have at least one (1) year of experience in a health or human services field; or the educational or experiential equivalent in the field of aging or disabilities. Or, be a registered nurse who has at least two (2) years of experience as a professional nurse in the field of aging or disabilities. Or, have a Master’s degree in a health or human services field. Responsibilities include working with consumers and/or their representatives to assure compliance with program regulations and visiting each consumer monthly. Skills needed include excellent verbal and written communication, self-direction, excellent organizational skills, efficiency, ability to relate to other professionals, and well-developed computer CASE skills.
