METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO) COORDINATOR

The Purchase Area Development District (PADD) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Planner. This position is primarily responsible for coordination of the MPO activities for the Paducah-McCracken County MPO as mandated by state and federal laws. The position provides technical and management assistance to the Paducah-McCracken County MPO through the coordination of local government officials, government agencies, community organizations and state and federal agencies.
Applicant must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, civil engineering, or a related field. Excellent organizational, written, oral communication and public relation skills are required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
The normal duties for this position include but are not limited to: developing and execution of annual work program for transportation planning activities; monitor and collect data on current conditions of Paducah-McCracken County transportation system including roads, bike/ped ways and public transit; establish project priorities for consideration by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, when programming transportation funds; present information to decision makers; other planning related duties as required. The Purchase Area Development District is seeking an individual to work with senior adults as a Homecare Aide in the Kentucky Homecare program. The Homecare Aide is responsible for adhering to each client’s care plan as developed by the case manager and the client. The Homecare Aide will be visiting and assisting clients living within the eight counties of the Purchase District.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and must have a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities include visiting clients’ homes to assist with home management to include general cleaning and homemaking, personal care, chore/deep cleaning services, escort/transportation services, respite care, adhering to all state regulations, guidelines and policy and procedure requirements of the program, and completing all necessary paperwork and electronic data entry required, etc. Skills needed include excellent verbal and written communication, self-direction and excellent organizational skills, efficiency and attention to detail, and the ability to relate appropriately to consumers and other professionals. Knowledge of or ability to learn and effectively utilize program related computer software required.
