The Purchase Area Development District (PADD) Workforce Development Department provides employers with qualified employees to improve the region’s economic stability.

PADD’s responsibilities center around (1) coordinating the operations and services of the Kentucky Career Center System and (2) providing job search and training assistance to adults, dislocated workers, and youth.

The entire Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) encompasses numerous employment and training services, many of which are provided by other partner agencies. PADD coordinates with other agencies, so if you have any questions about our services, contact PADD, and we can direct you to the agency that can assist you. The other services available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act include Adult Education and Literacy Services, Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Programs.

Disaster Relief Employment

Disaster Recovery Dislocated Worker Grants (DWGs) provide funding for creating Disaster Relief Employment, which temporarily employs eligible individuals to help communities recover from a natural disaster.

Training Opportunities
Have you been dislocated from your job? Are you unsure if you can afford to attend school? Do you need knowledge and skills to obtain a particular job? Does an employer require a specific credential to consider you for the position? If you answered yes, PADD’s training opportunities may be available to assist you. PADD’s training opportunities help those who qualify to pay for college or training tuition, books, fees, and other expenses required to complete an approved training program that leads to an Occupational Skills Credential or an Associate’s degree.
