Purchase Long Term Care Ombudsman Advocating Voting Rights for Residents in Long Term Care

With visitation restrictions due to COVID-19, residents will need additional support to vote.  Voting is a basic resident right.  During the 2020 General Election, any registered voter may request to receive an absentee ballot in the mail.

Each resident has the right to request for an absentee ballot.  The request can be found online by visiting  http://govoteky.com/ and clicking “Absentee Ballot Request”.  Facilities should help residents with voting when the resident is unable to complete the process.
