Title III-B Supportive Services provides a number of programs for the aging population of the Purchase Area. The programs include educational opportunities, health promotion education, screenings and activities, friendly visiting, outreach, transportation, information and assistance, and telephone reassurance. The senior centers in each county are focal points for information, services, and advocacy for seniors. The centers also provide a wide range of recreational, social and volunteer opportunities.

Title III-B Legal Services provides counseling and/or assistance on legal matters, legal advocacy, legal education, advice in civil matters, and/or representation before some administrative board or judicial body. Examples of cases handled include those dealing with government benefits, consumer issues, housing, wills/estates, and health. The current legal services provider is:

Title III-C Nutrition Services program provides congregate and home-delivered noon meals prepared and delivered throughout the region. Each county’s senior center has the contract to provide meals in that county.
Title III-D Health Promotion Services are available in seven of the eight counties (Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman and McCracken). The services provided are education and assistance in the health promotion areas related to Mental Health and Medication Management.
The Title III-E National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP) provides services directed toward assisting the following: (1) the caregiver of any age caring for an elderly person aged 60 or older; (2) seniors aged 60 or older who are caregivers to relative children under the age of 19; and, (3) seniors aged 60 or older providing care to their children who are under the age of 19 years, with diagnosed mental retardation or developmental disabilities. Services include information, assistance, caregiver counseling, training, support groups, respite care, and supplemental services.
