The Purchase Area Development District has implemented new business development services
to better serve entrepreneurs and business owners throughout the Purchase Area. This service includes assisting businesses with planning and development and being attentive to the
needs of a start-up business, as well as supporting diverse needs for an existing or expanding company.
One-on-one consultation is available to help with administration, management, and financial
needs of a business. The PADD is a resource center for information valuable to the business community. The Business Lending and Development Services Department strives to stay at
the forefront of business and economic indicators and trends that are invaluable to local businesses and to the economy of the Purchase Area.
Business Orientation Workshops (BOW)
"Business Orientation Workshops" (BOW; every Tuesday between 3:00
PM – 4:00 PM in Mayfield, Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to noon in Murray, and Thursdays from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in Paducah) are offered weekly to aid business owners in
establishing and maintaining a profitable and long-lived business.
The BOW is a one-hour workshop explaining the basics of a business plan and the
procedure of applying for a business loan through the PADD. During this workshop, participates are able to obtain a guide about business plans, a packet of forms and ask
questions to assist them in expanding or starting their business.
Energy Orientation Workshop (EOW)
"Energy Orientation Workshops" (EOW; every Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Mayfield) are offered weekly
to aid business owners in renewable energies and energy efficiency improvements, informing them about available local, state and federal programs, and providing contacts with
specialized and experienced resource partners. Please see our section about

BizLoans@PurchaseADD.org. Upon our receipt of the form - we will contact you on the availability of an appointment for the next BOW.

at latest at the beginning of the workshop you signed up for.
